Success out of school – Equestrian & kite surfing

Posted: 6th October 2023

Our Exeter School equestrian riders were in superb form again on Sunday at Bicton where the showjumping qualifiers for the National Schools competition was taking place. Over 23 schools were represented from across the south west region and each class featured in excess of 50 riders. Lamorna (M5) came 1st in the 80cm qualifier. Lydia (3F) also rode outstandingly with a 3rd position in the 70 cm class and Charlie (L5) had a lovely clear round in the 80cm class. The performances of Lamorna & Lydia mean they qualify for the National Schools finals held at Addington Manor in Buckinghamshire at the end of October.

It was also an amazing weekend for two of our pupils at the national kite surfing championships. Anya (L6) and Jenna (L5) were both crowned national champions with Jenna winning the title of British junior girls’ freestyle champion and Anya the British women’s amateur freestyle champion. What an incredible achievement for them both!
