Girls' Cricket

Friday 3 May

U2 v Third Form

On a lovely sunny, but slightly chilly, Friday afternoon, the Third Form and Upper Two girls came together for three friendly games of cricket.

"The girls were all mixed together to form 6 equal teams," said Miss Wright.

"Each team played 8 overs in the field and 8 overs batting. Every player bowled an over and kept wicket and the batters were in for 2 overs.

"It was fantastic to see the Third Form girls working so nicely with the Upper Two girls and I know both parties took a lot from the experience. We will have more formal games towards the end of the summer term."

Marathon miles

We did it! Congratulations to all Junior School pupils who took part in the London Marathon Challenge last term.

Our aim was to run from Exeter School to Blackheath, the start of the London Marathon and back. We achieved this by running a set distance at the beginning of each Games session.

Not only did we meet our target but we started to make the return journey and finished at Yeovil in Somerset, totalling 460 miles!

We are delighted that we are able to support Mrs Marks' fundraising for the wonderful charity, ‘Get Kids Going!’. Please visit if you would like to show your support: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/Susan-Marks
