Fun and friendship on the Moor
Pixies Holt 3C
Last weekend was the turn of 3C to pack their bags, large and small, and to venture off to Pixies Holt in Dartmoor.
On Saturday, pupils showed their bravery through abseiling and weaselling; and jovially completed a walk from Haytor to Hound Tor in the glorious sunshine.
In the evening, pupils demonstrated their creative talents by making a range outfits out of newspaper for the fashion show. They went on to use their design techniques to create chairs out of balloons, all of which miraculously stayed intact when being tested for sturdiness and comfort.
The Sunday morning walk on Bellever Tor was rather more wet, but the form remained cheerful as they listened to a variety of tall tales about different parts of the route’s history. In the end, it was the Headmaster’s dog who was able to decipher which teacher was telling the truth every time.
3C returned to Exeter School on Sunday afternoon tired but happy and with many new friendships having been formed.
