Under-9 cricketers look back on strong season
'A' team wins six fixtures out of seven
The U9A Exeter Junior School cricket team have had a super season. Since the start of the summer they have had much to learn, many playing “hardball” cricket for the very first time. However, over the last couple of months they have really developed their skills, both as individual players and as a team.
Captain Edward Middleton led his team to six victories out of seven fixtures. They won all their U9 matches against stiff opposition and only narrowly lost to a strong U10 team from West Buckland. Junior School Cricket Coach, Richard Pidwell, commented on their performances: “The boys showed great character and worked hard to improve after every game. Well done, to all the boys who played for the U9A team!"
