Footballers help launch environment initiative
Year 6 team up with Exeter City FC for media launch
On Friday, 5th March, Form Upper Two C (Year 6) and Mr Ashman took part in the national media launch of Football League – the Environment…it’s all to play for, which is an initiative by the Environment Agency in conjunction with the Football League. This partnership will help Football League clubs to improve their environmental awareness and performance. As a community-run club, Exeter City FC is at the forefront of this initiative and was keen to involve a local school in this launch.
Various media outlets were present at the Cat and Fiddle Training Ground and Upper Two C received an hour and a half of specialist coaching by the Football in the Community coaches. Director of Football Steve Perryman and Manager Paul Tisdale were both in attendance. The children really enjoyed the session and also managed to thaw out an area of the surface for the first team to train on, later on in the morning.
