Fifteen Pupils win Oxbridge Offers
Pictured on the right are some of the school's successful Oxbridge applicants for 2007/8.
Eight pupils have gained offers from Oxford. They are as follows:
- Sophia Gibber, to read English at New College
- Richard Hobson, to read Physics and Philosophy at Balliol College
- Rachel Holden, to read Experimental Psychology at New College
- Signe Hulbert, to read Engineering at St Hugh's
- Jack McFarlane-Shopes, to read Physics and Philosophy at Somerville College
- Ash McNamara, to read Fine Art at St Hilda's/Ruskin
- Chris Rowell, to read Engineering at Exeter College
- Aidan Smallwood, to read Medicine at St Hugh's College
Seven pupils have gained Cambridge offers to date. They are as follows:
- Will Blackshaw, to read Geography at Clare College
- Emily Dixon, to read Archaeology and Anthropology at Homerton College
- Sam Freeman, to read Medicine at Emmanuel College
- Tom Leger, to read Natural Sciences at Clare College
- Ben Lewis, to read Economics at St Catharine's College
- Oliver Mattos, to read Computer Science at Fitzwilliam College
- Harriet Trayler-Clarke, to read Maths at Newnham College
This has been a particularly successful outcome. Headmaster Bob Griffin paid tribute to the pupils and to the teachers who helped them with their preparations, especially the Director of Administration, Mr Davidson and the Director of Studies, Mr Hughes.
