Wickedly wacky world of Wonderland
Alice in Wonderland
Pupils from the Third Form to the Lower Fifth joined together to produce the inaugural Lower School production of Alice in Wonderland, putting on two evening performances on 26 and 27 April.
Director Mr Brough said it had been a joy to work with the young cast and crew.
“The cast rose to the occasion, filling the space and delivering two committed and engaging performances on the fantastic set built by the maintenance team,” he said.
“Special mention must go to the wonderful portrayal of Alice by Summer Hill; in every scene, it is a demanding role and so many people have spoken about how impressive she was for such a young performer.”
Alice was well supported by a very talented cast who created a wickedly wacky world of Wonderland, from the Hatter to the Mock Turtle, from Humpty Dumpty to the Caterpillar.
“There are too many memorable performances to mention, and everyone tends to have a favourite,” said Mr Brough.
“I think the whole cast must have been mentioned to me at some point by someone passing on their congratulations!
“The technical crew and backstage crew were also an immensely important part of this production and they should be very proud of how they contributed to the success of the show.
“Thanks to everyone involved, and I hope everyone enjoyed the experience.”
