County Cup

U15 XI v West Buckland - won by 10 wickets (20 overs)

West Buckland - 82 for 6

Exeter - 83 for 0 (Max Cockram 51 not out)

"A strong bowling performance put Exeter on the front foot early on, a quick run out from Sam Moudiotis took the opening batsmen without facing a ball and some sharp bowling from Bobby Heard sent the number 3 back to the pavilion without troubling the scorebook," said Mr Jones.

"Exeter restricted West Buckland to 31 after 10 overs before Adam Wajed struck to take two quick wickets. A real team effort in the field meant Exeter went into the break feeling confident after keeping West Buckland to only 82 runs.

"Max Cockram got off to a great start accompanied by Tom Kilmartin at the crease. They played with maturity and composure to ensure the victory was never in doubt with Max finishing on an unbeaten 51.

"A very impressive start to the campaign with all players feeling that they contributed to a superb victory."
