Exeter School hosts WESC Art exhibition
Exeter School Art department had the pleasure of hosting the WESC Foundation’s annual Art exhibition on Monday 11 June. The exhibition was well attended by staff and pupils of both Exeter School and WESC, as we celebrated another year of creativity. The pupils are incredibly proud of their achievements and this sense of excitement filled the gallery space and made for a very enjoyable evening.
The exhibition showcased an array of multi-sensory work, which featured an assortment of tactile textile pieces, mixed media collages that had sound buttons accompanying them and carefully coiled clay vessels.
It is such a humbling experience for our school community to be able to engage with the creative work produced by the visually impaired students and we look forward to continuing to work closely with them in the future.
Many thanks to WESC Art teachers, Penny and Karolyn as well as Exeter School Art technician, Emma Taylor for coordinating such a vibrant display of creative work.
