A joyful atmosphere
Summer Art Show
The Art department hosted its annual Summer Art Show on Monday 25 June; the event is an opportunity to celebrate the work of pupils from the Third Form through to the Upper Sixth.
The work on display included a variety of mediums, from sculpture, painting, printmaking and textiles, which is a testament to the breadth of skills explored by our pupils.
Over 150 staff, pupils, parents and governors attended the private view. There was a joyful atmosphere in the studios, the pupils were delighted to have their efforts recognised and the musical accompaniments helped to set the scene for an enjoyable evening.
Acting Head of Art Jess White said: “We look forward to the Art Show every year, it is wonderful to be able to celebrate the pupils’ achievements, at the end of a busy academic year.”
The work will be on display in the department until 11 July, with the full exhibition of work on display for the Summer Open Evening.
