An adventure away from home
Upper Two residential
Upper Two pupils departed for their residential weekend to Bude on the weekend of 6 July. Arriving at 12.30pm, pupils immediately threw themselves into in surfing, climbing and canoeing, with beach games in the evening.
On Saturday, abseiling and body boarding were also available.
Matthew Roberts said that canoeing in particular was great fun, playing loads of games in the canoes!
“One was called Shampoo, which involved dunking your head in the water!” he said.
The evening then ended with a BBQ, team games and a cliff fire. Five of the pupils received awards for their attitude and behaviour whilst away.
On the final day, more surfing, abseiling and bodyboarding was enjoyed. On leaving, the tired but happy faces of all that took part were a reflection of the fun and incredible organisation by all involved.
Darcy Beau Hedden said: “The instructors at Outdoor Adventure were great and really helped us out.”
Staff were also pleased to comment that all pupils had exhibited a number of the core values we believe in within Exeter School. It was a truly memorable weekend and the perfect way to end a wonderful year.
