National Careers Week
Sixth Form pupils studying Design and Technology and Physics listened to talks from three alumni about their careers in engineering as part of National Careers Week followed by a hands-on session for the Third Form.
Luke Stitson (2006 – 2013) from Dyson, Patrick Mabin (2006 – 2013) from MBDA and David Salmon (2008 – 2013) from Rolls Royce spoke about their journey from A Levels to university and beyond and what projects they were currently working on.
The three former pupils discussed their journey from Exeter School to where they are now and how being a well-rounded individual, taking part in the many clubs and activities on offer, can make a difference to their future applications. They also looked at making use of the uni summer holidays – work experience with possibility of work long term
Luke then delivered a hands-on lesson to our Third Form Design and Technology pupils in the afternoon.
Thanks to the three alumni for returning to school to inspire our pupils.
