Swimming for all

Swimming for all

Exeter Junior School

Since the introduction of the new indoor swimming pool, swimming has gone from strength to strength and has been an integral part of the curriculum and extra curricular programme.

This term, over 80 pupils from across the year groups have participated in two lunch clubs. They have enjoyed getting in the pool to either become more water confident through playing games, or using the lane to develop stroke technique and swim for fitness.

With the specialist input from Mr Davies, a qualified swimming coach, as well as the Junior School staff and Sixth Form lifeguards, pupils have been able to progress accordingly.

Junior School PE & Girls' Games Coordinator Miss Wright said: "It has been wonderful to have so many pupils engage in swimming, opting to participate in their free time. This is testament to both the attitude of the pupils and the quality of sessions delivered."
