Seasonal fun to end the term

Community Service Christmas tea party

The school welcomed around 115 local senior citizens to the annual Community Service tea party on the last afternoon of term, which was, as always, a most rewarding way to finish the term.

Our guests enjoyed the opportunity to engage with some of our senior pupils, whilst being treated to a wonderful festive spread prepared by Miss Hendrick and her catering team.

There was also delightful musical accompaniment from the Senior Vocal Ensemble and Upper One members of the Junior School Singers.

The newly shorn Revd Tom offered some seasonal thoughts before everyone joined in heartily with some traditional carols.

Father Christmas made a surprise visit, distributing a present to every one of our guests on behalf of the whole school community, following the recent collection on Christmas Jumper Day on Wednesday.

Thanks to Mike Wilcock for organising the event and to the pupils and staff for contributing to its success.
