RAF Summer Camp

The RAF Summer Camp 2018 was at RAF Wittering in Cambridgeshire. Sixteen members of the RAF section joined cadets from Penair School and Caterham School for a week packed full of activities. Flt Lt Smale, Pt Off Rose and Pt Off Alborough accompanied the trip.

RAF Wittering is the home of the elementary flying training and all cadets getting the opportunity to fly Grob Tutors with many of them completing aerobatic manoeuvres.

A very active base though the week, the cadets have to march around base and take their meals in the junior ranks mess.

Further activities included sports, section visits, competitions, shooting (with several cadets achieving marksmanship badges), orienteering, bushcraft, raft building, high ropes, cinema and many more.
