3C head to Dartmoor
Final of four residential weekends
The 2018 season of Pixies Holt residentials finished with a bubbly and enthusiastic 3C form group.
Fortunately we saw the best weather Dartmoor could offer with a sunny walk from Haytor to Hound Tor. Pupils pushed themselves out of the their comfort zone in the climbing, abseiling and weasling with some particularly courageous efforts from Felix Tamblyn and Izzy Olotu.
A Mint Feast was the order of the day at the Hound of the Basketmeals where pupils enjoyed a well-deserved ice cream.
Evenings were packed with fun, games and team building activities. In an amazing display of flexibility, Holly Metcalf, Connie Croft and Rosie Burrage proved to be elite cereal box lifters in a game where Harry Ireland drew the loudest crowd. The Best Catwalk Model award went to Ryan Paget, Best Made Bed award won by Tom Knapp and Best Motivational Speaker, for ongoing support and positive encouragement, went to Ed Witcomb.
Form Tutor Phil Hyde said the weekend was busy, exhausting but thoroughly enjoyable.
“Thank you to all the staff that supported the residential and to the pupils in 3C for their positive attitude all weekend.”
