Oxbridge successes 2011-12

Six offers bring school’s five-year total to 48

This year’s Oxbridge admissions process is now complete: congratulations to the six pupils who have received offers from these very selective universities, which takes the school’s record to 48 offers from Oxford and Cambridge colleges in the last 5 years.

At Oxford, Chris Clay has an offer to read Engineering at Keble College and Eleanor Moore has an offer from Jesus College to read Chemistry. Seb Sutcliffe, of last year’s Upper Sixth, has secured an unconditional place to read English at Fitzwilliam College. Three members of this Upper Sixth also have offers: Freddie Ashford for Engineering at Robinson College, Robyn Lockyer for Geography at Newnham College and Jonathan Schranz for Music at Churchill College.

Headmaster Bob Griffin said that he was very proud of his pupils’ fine achievements and congratulated them and their teachers most warmly. Some of the successful pupils are pictured with Oxbridge co-ordinators Mr Davidson and Mr Hughes.
