Spoony Bear visits Junior School Assembly
Special fund-raising event at Exeter School: 8 October
The Wooden Spoon Charity mascot visited Junior School Assembly on 3 October and received a warm welcome from the pupils, including many who had attended the Exeter Chiefs Match Day on the previous weekend.
Mr Bruce Priday explained that the RFU Wooden Spoon Charity was established by volunteers to fund and support numerous good causes throughout the country, and he expressed his delight to be staging a special event at Exeter School on the afternoon of Saturday 8 October.
The pupils were informed to look forward to a special day out, with lots of family fun and refreshment including ice cream, drinks and a hog roast. The event lasts from 1.15-4.00pm and coincides with the annual 1st XV rugby fixture against Plymouth College.
